Women’s Cross Country Ranked Fifth in Region

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s cross country team is ranked fifth in the Southeast Region, according to the poll released by the Women’s Cross Country Coaches Association. The Tigers moved up from an eighth-place ranking in the preseason. This is Clemson’s highest ranking in five years.

The Tigers placed second at the Cavalier Invitational in Charlottesville, VA, on Sept. 19. Clemson will compete at Notre Dame Friday.

“The young ladies have been putting in a lot of hard work, and it’s starting to show in the results as we continue to move up in the poll,” said assistant women’s track and field coach Rodney Rothoff.
