Women’s Basketball To Host Virginia On Thursday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Lady Tiger Basketball team will play host to Virginia in an Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball game at Clemson, SC Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum.

Clemson will enter the game with a 16-8 record overall and a 7-5 mark in the ACC. Virginia will enter the game with a 19-6 record overall, 10-2 in league play.

Virginia is ranked is 21st in the Associated Press poll, and 22nd in the USA Today listing. The Cavaliers are in second place 1 game behind league leading N.C. State.

Clemson is led in scoring by freshman sensation Chrissy Floyd as she is averaging 13.7 ppg. The Laady Tigers are led in rebounding by Erin Batth with a 7.5 rpg. mark.

Schuye LaRue leads the Cavaliers in scoring (14.4 ppg.) and rebounding (7.5 rpg.).

This will be the 49th meeting between Clemson and Virginia on the basketball court. Virginia leads the overall series 27-21. Virginia defeated Clemson 77-74 in Charlottesville, VA on January 20, in double overtime.
