Wendy Henson Competes in the Phillips 66 National Championships Swimming

MINNEAPOLIS – Clemson swimmer Wendy Henson participated in the Phillips 66 National Championships Swimming held this weekend, April 1-5 at the University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Henson competed in the 200-yard freestyle, where she placed 25th with a time of 2:06.82. She was disqualified from the 100-yard freestyle.

Wendy Henson ended her season with three new additions to Clemson’s All-Time Top 10 list. She grabbed the third spot in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.96, which she got at the Atlantic Coastal Conference Championships. The other two times are Clemson’s best in history for the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:32.70) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:22.45). She shares both of these times with Charli Reasons, Kathy Lowry and Jennifer Mihalik.

Henson had the season best time in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.04). She also was a member of five relay teams that had number one spots for the season, 200-yard medley (1:44.97), 400-yard medley (3:50.06), 200-yard freestyle (1:32.70), 400-yard freestyle (3:22.45), and 800-yard freestyle (7:23.40).
