Volleyball To Host Georgia Tech This Friday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team (10-13 overall, 4-6 ACC) will host ACC rival Georgia Tech (19-4, 9-1 ACC) this Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Jervey Gym. The first 200 fans will receive free t-shirts as the Tigers attempt to break the Jervey attendance record. Admission is free to all Clemson home volleyball matches.

Clemson is 27-8 all-time against the Yellow Jackets, however Georgia Tech won the last meeting between the teams on Oct. 10 at O’Keefe Gym in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets outhit the Tigers .406 to .184 in the 15-7, 15-5, 15-6 win.

In that match, Kiki Dallao led the Tigers with 14 kills and Jodi Steffes added eight more. Missy Kudelka tallied 32 assists with nine digs. Meredith Kirtland recorded a team-high 11 digs while Jackie Dalleska had three blocks (one solo). Georgia Tech’s Maja Pachale led all hitters with 22 kills, ten digs, and a .529 hitting percentage. Eida Mabry tallied 12 kills and Kyleen Bell recorded a match-high four blocks (two solo). Kele Eveland dished out a match-high 35 assists.

Jodi Steffes leads the Tigers in total kills (330) with a 4.34 kills per game average. Meredith Kirtland leads the Tigers in digs with 263 while Steffes leads in digs per game (3.30). Jessi Betcher is the assist leader with 897 assists this season (11.50 assists per game). Betcher also leads the team in aces per game with a 0.32 per game average (25 total). Jackie Dalleska has a team-best 58 blocks with a 0.89 blocks per game average.
