Volleyball to Face Georgia Tech Tuesday Night

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson volleyball team (8-10 overall, 3-3 ACC) will travel to ACC rival Georgia Tech for a Tuesday evening match at O’Keefe Gym. The Yellow Jackets are 14-4 overall and 5-1 in the ACC.

Georgia Tech returned three starters and six letterwinners from last year’s 17-14 squad that finished sixth in the ACC with a 6-10 record. Juior middle blocker Kyleen Bell leads the Yellow Jackets with a 4.28 kills per game average and a .378 hitting percentage. Bell also leads the team in blocks with 72 total (seven solo). Freshman setter Kele Eveland leads Georgia Tech in assists with a 13.07 assists per game average and in digs with 2.93 per game. Junior Enkeleida Mabry leads the team with 22 service aces.

Clemson is 27-7 all-time against the Yellow Jackets and hold a 10-6 edge over Tech under head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover. The Tigers defeated the Yellow Jackets both times they played in 1999.

Jodi Steffes leads the Tigers in total kills (273) and kills per game (4.33) while also leading the Tigers in digs with 219 and in digs per game (3.48). Jessi Betcher is the assist leader with 749 assists this season (11.35 assists per game). Betcher also leads the team in aces per game with a 0.32 per game average (21 total). Marija Zoric has a team-best 1.06 blocks per game average.
