Volleyball Defeats College of Charleston, 3-0

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team defeated the College of Charleston 3-2 Wednesday night at Jervey Gym in the Tigers’ final home match of the season. The Tigers took a 15-5, 15-4, 15-3 victory over the Cougars, hitting .462 in Game Three.

Junior Cindy Stern led the Tigers, hitting .533 with ten kills, two errors and 15 attempts. Junior Alison Coday hit .500 (12 kills, one error, 22 attempts) and recorded five blocks in the contest. Freshman Jodi Steffes tallied eight digs, leading Clemson in the win.

The College of Charleston (9-21, 5-11 SoCon) had three athletes hit .250 for the match: Liz Bailey, Heather Olson and Tiffany Comstock. Bailey led the team with seven digs.

Clemson (19-8, 9-5 ACC) will play at N.C. State Friday at 7:30 p.m. and at North Carolina on Saturday at 6 p.m. to conclude the regular season.
