Volleyball Adds Bailey, Oliver to 2018 Roster

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson head coach Michaela Franklin announced the additions of outside hitter Brooke Bailey and middle blocker Adria Oliver Wednesday. Both Bailey and Oliver enrolled in classes at Clemson this semester and will be on the Tigers’ roster for the upcoming 2018 season.

“We are thrilled to add Brooke and Adria to our roster this spring,” said Franklin.

Bailey is a 6-2 transfer from Ohio State. The Canton, Ohio, native is majoring in Psychology at Clemson.

“Brooke brings experience at an elite level and will enhance our gym and team culture immediately. She has the ability to be a dominant attacker and has a contagious positive demeanor about her.”

Oliver is a 6-0 freshman from Seneca, S.C., just outside of Clemson, S.C. Oliver was tabbed a member of the 2017 Senior Ace Team for Max Preps Volleyball. Oliver is the daughter of Audra Smith, the Tigers’ women’s basketball head coach. Her father, Anthony Oliver, played basketball at the University of Virginia from 1998-92.

“Adria is a gifted athlete who has yet to tap into her full potential. Coming in at spring is going to allow her to get a jump start on her career as a Tiger and give her the opportunity to get faster, stronger, and adjust to the collegiate game. The sky is the limit for her and we are looking forward to helping her get there.
