VIDEO: Versatile Whitney Fountain Tries Hand in the Triple Jump

CLEMSON, S.C. – She may have dropped the multi-events to focus on the sprints and jumps in 2014, but Whitney Fountain‘s versatility still knows no bounds.

Case in point – just last week the senior track & field athlete tried her hand in a new event for the first time, the triple jump. The results were stunning. In just one week of practice, Fountain jumped over 13 meters – a team-leading 42-9 distance that ranks 14th in the NCAA.

Fountain, an All-ACC performer this season in the 60-meter dash and long jump, met with ClemsonTigers.com this week to discuss her newest trade.
