Vickery Hall Launches Student-Athlete Career Excellence (SACE) Certificate Program

July 19, 2011

In the fall of 2010, Vickery Hall unveiled the Student-Athlete Career Excellence (SACE) Certificate Program. This program aims to highlight Clemson student-athletes that are willing to go above and beyond with their personal career development process.

These students manage to balance a full-time academic schedule and a rigorous athletic schedule, while still finding time to stay focused on their lives after graduation by attending various career-related workshops and events. These workshops or events may consist of but are not limited to the following: having their résumé or cover letter critiqued by a career center staff member, attending the fall or spring career fair, completing a summer job/co-op/internship, attending career workshops or programs, and many more opportunities across campus and throughout the community.

In the inaugural SACE class, a total of 28 students joined and seven students completed the program in the first academic year. Ten additional students will finish in the fall of 2011, and the second SACE class will begin during the fall 2011 semester.
