Athletic Highlight: Mamona is the first student-athlete from Clemson to compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships since 2005 when Gisela Oliveira won the national title. She is the fifth female athlete from Clemson to ever compete in the triple jump at the indoor championships. Mamona placed 12th in the event at her first national indoor championship meet last weekend with a mark of 43′ 0.5″. Mamona also earned All-ACC honors this season in both the triple jump (second place) and the long jump (third place.)   Athletic Highlight: The Tigers defeated Boston College and Duke in the quarterfinal and semifinal round of the 2008 ACC Tournament to reach the conference title game for the first time in 46 seasons. Third-seeded Clemson fell to top-seeded North Carolina in a hard-fought 86-81 contest in the title game. Ranked #22 in the final Associated Press poll, the Tigers are returning to the NCAA Tournament as a number-five seed in the Midwest Region.
