Two Tigers Selected in Second Round of 2018 MLS SuperDraft

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Oliver Shannon and Diego Campos were selected just two picks apart in the second round of the 2018 MLS Draft on Friday afternoon. Shannon was drafted with the 36th overall pick by Atlanta United, and Campos was taken with the 38th overall pick by the Chicago Fire.

Shannon, a midfielder from Liverpool, England, graduated in December with a degree in sports communication. The co-captain was named to the 2017 All-ACC First Team while leading the team in minutes and ranking second in assists with five.

Campos, a native of San Jose, Costa Rica, also graduated in December with a degree in economics and led the Tigers in both goals (10) and assists (9). He also earned 2017 All-ACC First Team honors.

The third and fourth rounds of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft will take place on Sunday.
