Two Clemson Rowers Named National Rowing Scholar-Athletes

CLEMSON, S.C. – Two members of Clemson’s rowing team were named National Rowing Scholar-Athletes as announced by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Katherine Sloan and Lauren Henne were selected as 2001 CRCA National Scholar-Athletes.

Sloan, a junior from Blue Ridge, GA, is majoring in marketing. She has been a member of the ACC Academic honor roll each year at Clemson, and was also a member of the ACC’s all-conference team in 2000.

Henne, a senior from Hilton Head, SC, graduated in May with a degree in Graphic Communications. She was a member of the ACC Academic honor roll each year and was a recipient of the conference’s Weaver-James Corrigan Post-Graduate Scholarship award. Henne was also a member of the 2000 All-ACC team, and earned All-South Region honors this season.
