Two Clemson Men’s Soccer Players Named All-Americans

CLEMSON, SC – Two Clemson Men’s Soccer players, Mark Lisi and Mike Potempa were named All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Monday. Lisi was named to the first team and Potempa was named to the second team.

Lisi, who was named First-Team All-ACC, led the Tigers in scoring with 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points.

Potempa played in 17 games as a defender. He started all 80 games he played in during his career. Both players were seniors in the 2000 season.

The Clemson men’s team finished the season with a 14-4-2 record overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Final 16. Clemson lost to NCAA Champion Connecticut on November 26 in the round of 16.
