Driving Directions to Clemson University/Athletic Facilities

TO CLEMSON UNIVERSITY:

From the North (from Charlotte, NC: 2.5 hours; Greenville, SC: 1 hour)Take I-85 south to exit #19B (Hwy. 76/28 west). Exit toward Clemson University. Follow Hwy. 76/28 west for approximately 12 miles (through 7 traffic lights), and exit off onto Hwy. 93 south towards Clemson University. There are two ramps here; take the second one, under the bridge. Once on Hwy. 93, travel approximately 1/2 mile to the first traffic light. Bear to the right at this traffic light onto N. Palmetto Blvd., and proceed 0.2 miles. At the stop sign bear left and the Visitors Center will be on your right a the bottom of the cul-de-sac.

From the South (from Atlanta, GA 2.5 hours)Take I-85 north to exit #14 (Hwy. 187). Turn left onto Hwy. 187 toward Pendleton, and proceed approximately six miles until the highway ends at Hwy. 76/28 (at the traffic light). Turn left and follow Hwy 76/28 west for approximately 6 miles, and exit off onto Hwy 93 south towards Clemson University. There are two ramps here; take the second one, under the bridge. Once on Hwy. 93, travel approximately 1/2 mile to the first traffic light. Bear to the right at this traffic light onto N. Palmetto Blvd., and proceed 0.2 miles. At the stop sign bear left and the Visitors Center will be on your right a the bottom of the cul-de-sac.

TO LITTLEJOHN COLISEUM (Basketball)

From the North (from Charlotte, NC: 2.5 hours; Greenville, SC: 1 hour)Take I-85 south to exit #19B (Hwy. 76/28 west). Exit toward Clemson University. Follow Hwy. 76/28 west for approximately 12 miles (through 7 traffic lights), and exit off onto Hwy. 93 south towards Clemson University. There are two ramps here; take the second one, under the bridge. Once on Hwy. 93, travel approximately 1 1/2 miles to the sixth traffic light. Take a left onto Perimeter Road, follow signs for Coliseum Parking.

Take a left onto Perimeter Road, Doug Kingsmore Stadium is located behind Jervey Athletic Center on the right.

TO THE CLEMSON ROWING BOATHOUSE

From the North: Take I-85 South to exit #19B (Hwy 76/28 West). Exit north, toward Clemson University. Follow Hwy 76/28 west for a while. Turn left at the 3rd signal (3.7 miles) after the Dairy Queen & Bi/Lo onto Perimeter Road (there is also a sign for South Carolina Botanical Gardens). Follow Perimeter around campus. After 1.2 miles on Perimeter you will go through your first signal. Then you will go through your second signal, pass the football stadium (on right) and Jervey Gym (on left). After traveling 2.1 miles on Perimeter, you will go through your third signal and past the building on the left (McFadden). Take your next left on East Bank Drive where the “Clemson Rowing” sign is (2.3 miles). East Bank Dr is the only road to the left before the next stop light at Hwy 93. East Bank will lead you past the baseball stadium (on the left), up a hill and to the boathouse.

From the South:Take I-85 North to exit #14 (Hwy 187). Turn left (north) on Hwy 187 toward Pendleton, and proceed approximately 6 miles until 187 ends at a traffic light. Alternate (shorter) directions from Asheville, NC:From Asheville, head south on Hwy26, Exit Hwy 26 at Exit #23 (signs “To Greenville”) onto Hwy 25. Stay on Hwy 25 for approx. 36 miles. You will pass Furman University. After crossing Old Easley Road stay right at the “Y”. Half a mile later head East on Hwy 123 toward Easley. Follow Hwy 123 for 29 miles through Easley to Clemson. Go through Clemson on Hwy 123 (you will pass numerous hotels and restaurants) and cross the lake. After crossing the lake, take your first left (through a yield sign) Onto Hwy 93. You will pass a YMCA on your right and cross back across the lake. Turn right onto Perimeter Road at the first stop light. Take an immediate right (100 yards) at the “Clemson Rowing” sign, onto East Bank Drive. East Bank will lead you past the baseball stadium (on the left), up a hill and to the boathouse.

From the Visitor’s Center:Turn right out of the Visitors Center at the light onto Hwy 93. At the next light (Subway on far right side) continue straight on Hwy 93. (Turning right would take you through Downtown Clemson). Follow Hwy 93 through another light to the following stoplight. There is a large sign for DCF on your right at the stoplight and you will turn left onto Perimeter Road. Take the next right onto East Bank Drive where the “Clemson Rowing” sign is. East Bank Dr. is the only road before the next stoplight. East Bank will lead you past the baseball stadium (on the left), up a hill and to the boathouse. Park in the gravel lot and come down the right side of the boathouses (almond buildings) and through the gate.

PARKINGOne-day visitor parking permits are available at the Visitors Center, 111 Daniel Drive, or the Police Department in Memorial Stadium. Extended visitor parking permits are available from Parking Services in G01 University Union. Permits allow visitors to park in areas designated for visitors, faculty, staff or students.

Free shuttle service is available from the large parking lots to the central part of campus. The service operates Monday through Friday, and on Sunday, and runs approximately every ten minutes.

ACCESSIBLE PARKINGAccessible parking areas reserved for individuals with disabilities are marked by sign(s) and/or pavement marking(s) incorporating the international disability access symbol. Obstructing access to a parking area reserved for individuals with disabilities is prohibited. Vehicles displaying an official disability access license plate, permit or placard are the only vehicles authorized to park in these areas.

In addition to spaces specifically reserved for this purpose, any vehicle displaying a valid disability access permit may park in an employee, student, service vehicle or timed parking space. Students and employees must display a current University decal or parking permit and a disability access parking placard when parked in accessible parking.
