Tigers Will Play Host to Georgia Tech and Wake Forest

CLEMSON, SC – The 24th-ranked Clemson men’s tennis team will play host to Georgia Tech on Friday and #25 Wake Forest on Sunday in the last two matches of the regular season.  Clemson will play Georgia Tech at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and will play Wake Forest at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on the Tigers’ campus.The Tigers are ranked 24th nationally according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.  The Tigers moved up one spot in this week’s listing.  In singles, Yannick Maden is ranked 24th.  The doubles team of Yannick Maden and his brother Dominique Maden is ranked 15th nationally according to the latest ITA poll.Yannick Maden has a 22-7 record overall and a 16-4 mark in dual matches.  The Tigers’ Hunter Harrington has an 18-8 record overall and a 14-5 slate in dual matches.  The Madens have a 19-6 record overall as a doubles team, and are 9-3 in dual matches.This will be the 53rd meeting between Clemson and Georgia Tech on the tennis courts.  The Tigers lead the overall series 27-25.Clemson and Wake Forest will be meeting for the 71st time in men’s tennis.  The Tigers lead the overall series 43-27.  In matches played at Clemson, the Tigers lead 22-7.Both series with Georgia Tech and Wake Forest began in the 1925 season.
