Tigers Welcome College of Charleston, Davidson Saturday

CLEMSON, S.C.—The Clemson Diving team hosts College of Charleston and Davidson this Saturday for its lone home meet on the season.  The Tigers will celebrate Senior Day honoring Jessica Doolittle, Chelsea Uranaka, and Emily Yoder.  Admission is free.

The Tigers are 4-2 in dual meets this season and have already beaten the College of Charleston Cougars 32-6 in Charleston.  Four different Tigers posted five zone qualifying scores led by Danielle Reitsma who won the one-meter event and also qualified in the three-meter.  The sophomore posted a 290.00 and a 286.15 in the events, respectively.  Doolittle was runner-up in the one-meter and Sarah Braun won the three-meter outright.  Freshman Hannah Donovan finished second in the three-meter.

The last time the Davidson Wildcats came to town was last season’s senior day, a meet the Tigers won handily 32-6.  Uranaka finished second in the three-meter and Reistma finished third in the one-meter as the Tigers combined for seven different qualifying scores in the two events.

There will also be several promotions including a student-athlete cannonball contest and a frozen T-shirt contest.  The first 100 fans in attendance will also receive a free T-shirt.

The meet will begin at 11 AM in McHugh Natatorium.  Follow @ClemsonDiving on Twitter and ClemsonTigers.com for live updates throughout the event.
