Tigers to Host West Florida on Saturday

CLEMSON, S.C. – After starting the season 3-0 last weekend in meets on the road against UNC Wilmington and East Carolina, the Clemson diving team will host West Florida at McHugh Natatorium this Saturday at 10 a.m. The meet is one of two at home this fall, with the other happening on Nov. 9 against South Carolina.

Individually, Clemson had two divers qualify for the NCAA Zone B Championships during their first weekend of competition, with senior Danielle Reitsma posting qualifying scores in the 1-meter and sophomore Sarah Blank reaching the qualifying mark in the 3-meter. The Tigers also had divers claim the top five spots in the one-meter in their first meet as well as the top six spots in the same event in the second meet.

The West Florida Argonauts last competed on Friday, Oct. 14 in an 11-dive, 1-meter event against each other because their Saturday meet at Georgia Southern was cancelled. In the event, senior Monica Amaral just missed her program record by scoring a 494.10, and sophomore Marissa Constantakos recorded a personal best of 403.60.
