Quick Facts • Clemson will be looking for its 20th victory of the season. Clemson last won 20 games in 1998-99. The 20th victory that year was earned in the NIT semifinals against Xavier, a team coached by current Wake Forest coach Skip Prosser.

• Clemson has had just seven seasons in which it has won at least 20 games. Only five times has it reached 20 wins during the regular season.

• K.C. Rivers had 17 points in Clemson’s 71-58 win over Florida State on February 7. Clemson is now 18-2 this year when Rivers scores in double figures.

• Clemson and Wake Forest will be playing on Valentine’s Day. Clemson has a 20-19 all-time record on Valentines Day. The 20 wins are tied for second most in Clemson history on a single date.

• Clemson has lost 15 straight games at Wake Forest’s Joel Coliseum. Clemson’s last and only win at the facility took place during the 1989-90 season.

• Through games of Sunday, February 11, Clemson had played the fourth most difficult conference schedule. Clemson’s conference opponents were a combined 50-45 when not playing Clemson.

• Each of the last two Clemson vs. Wake Forest games have gone to overtime with each team winning once on their home court.

• Vernon Hamilton has scored in double figures in a career best eight consecutive games. He is averaging 15 points per game during that time. Hamilton is averaging 15.6 points per game on the road and shooting .553 from the field.

• Clemson had an overall RPI of #21 in the nation entering games of Monday, February 12. Clemson had a non-conference RPI that ranked #24. Clemson is one of two schools with a perfect record (14-0) in non-conference games. Oregon (12-0) is the other. UCLA was on the list prior to Saturday’s loss at West Virginia.

• Cliff Hammonds had six assists and no turnovers in the win over Florida State to go with 16 points. Hammonds has had more turnovers than assists in just one of 24 games this season. He leads the ACC in assist/turnover ratio (2.87).

• A victory on Wednesday would give Oliver Purnell a 20-victory season at Clemson for the first time. It would be the fourth different school in which he has won at least 20 games in a season.

• A victory at Wake Forest would give Clemson three ACC road wins in a season for the first time since 1996-97 when the Tigers had a 4-4 ACC record.

• A victory at Wake Forest would give Clemson a 6-3 record on the road overall this year. It would clinch a winning record on the road for the season, something Clemson has not done since 1996-97 when it was 6-4.
