Tigers Tied for 16th Heading into Final Round

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s golf team sits in a tie for 16th place through two rounds at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Okla.  The tournament is being played at the par-70 Belmar Golf Club.

The Tigers shot a 12-over par 292 for a two day total of 587. Lauren Salazar had the best Clemson round of the day with an even par round of 70 and is tied for 22nd place individually. Sophomore Jessica Hoang followed with a one-over par 71 and sophomore McKenzie Talbert with a four-over par 74. Freshman Marisa Messana shot seven-over and sophomore Sloan Shanahan eight-over.

Mississippi State still holds the lead at 10-under par and has an 11 shot lead over Kent State who sits in second place. The three-day tournament will conclude tomorrow. Live scoring can be followed on BirdieFire.com
