ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) – All of Clemson starters scored in double figures as the Tigers beat Coastal Carolina 90-63 on Tuesday.

Chey Christie led Clemson (9-0) with 19 points, five steals and four assists. Edward Scott added 14 points, seven assists, and four steals.

The Tigers are off to their best start in seven seasons, and will open a renovated Littlejohn Coliseum and the Atlantic Coast Conference season on Sunday with No. 3 Duke.

Torrey Butler led all scorers with 23 points for Coastal Carolina (6-5), while Tony Darden added 10 points.

Clemson scored on seven of eight possessions early in the second half to break the game open.

Chris Hobbs’ three-point play gave the Tigers their first 20-point lead of the game at 55-35 with 13:09 remaining, and the Chanticleers got no closer than 15 points the rest of the way.

Clemson shot 58 percent (34-of-58) from the field to 50 percent (27-of-54) for Coastal Carolina.

Clemson led 40-27 at the half as the Tigers got 22 of their points in the paint.

Olu Babalola had 13 points, Hobbs added 12 and Sherrod Ford scored 10 points for Clemson, who went 4-0 this season against teams from the Big South Conference.

The Tigers likely played their final game of the year at the Anderson Civic Center, which was Clemson’s home away from home while workers renovated Littlejohn Coliseum.
