Tigers Ranked #11 In Latest ITA Poll

CLEMSON, SC – After winning matches against #13 North Carolina and #16 Duke over the weekend, the Clemson women’s tennis team moved up three spots to #11 in the ITA rankings, released on Apr. 19. The Tigers are 17-7 overall and have won 12 of their 13 matches, all against ranked opponents.

Julie Coin held the number two position in the ITA singles rankings for the fourth consecutive poll. The senior from Amiens, France is 31-3 overall and 22-1 in dual matches. She is 23-1 against ranked opponents during the fall and spring seasons. Freshman Romy Farah moved up to #71 in the singles poll. She boasts a 22-11 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference action.

Coin and Alix Lacelarie jumped to #13 in the doubles rankings after upsetting two teams ranked in the top 15 in the last two weeks. They defeated Florida State’s 11th-ranked team on Apr. 10 and bettered the sixth-ranked team from North Carolina on Apr. 17. The duo has compiled a 6-0 mark in dual matches and a 9-1 overall record. Coin and Farah are also listed in the doubles poll at #29. The Tiger team is 16-4 overall and 12-3 in dual play.
