Tigers Prepare for NCAAs Next Weekend

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s track and field team competed in the USA Indoor Championships this weekend in Atlanta. Sophomore Sultan Tucker placed second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.76. His time ranks sixth nationally. The 4x400m relay team of Charles Allen, Kenny Franklin, Davidson Gill and Ato Modibo ran a time of 3:08.24, the sixth-fastest time in the nation this season.

At the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet this weekend, junior Shawn Crawford won the 60m with a time of 6.79. Senior Esteban Diaz won the mile with a time of 4:06.12, and freshman Doug Ameigh won the high jump with a mark of 6’11”.

The national championships will be held March 5-6 in Indianapolis, IN. The following individuals will represent Clemson at the meet: Shawn Crawford (200m), Ato Modibo (400m), Sultan Tucker (60m hurdles), Bryan Williams (triple jump), 4x400m relay team of Allen, Franklin, Gill and Modibo.
