Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers (2-4) are coming off a 7-0 loss to No. 21 South Carolina on Feb. 11 in Clemson. Five of the six singles matches went to three sets.
  • Sophomore Ayan Broomfield is ranked No. 119 according to the ITA singles rankings released on Feb. 8.
  • Freshman Sydney Riley has the most dual-match wins so far this spring, with a 3-3 record. Freshman Constanza Gorches and sophomore Ally Miller-Krasilnikov are both 2-2 in dual matches on the season.
  • Clemson’s 2017 roster is made up of one junior, five sophomores and two freshmen.
  • Head Coach Nancy Harris is in her 20th season with the Tigers. In her first 19 seasons at the helm of the program, Harris took the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament 17 times, including 15-consecutive years from 2002-16.

Series Information:

  • Clemson leads the all-time series over Wake Forest with a 31-17 record.
  • When the two teams met last season, the Tigers defeated the Demon Deacons 5-2 on Feb. 21, 2016. Ayan Broomfield and Fernanda Navarro won their matches at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, in the Clemson victory.
