CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s track and field team competed in the Clemson Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Facility on Friday. The Tigers qualified seven for Saturday’s finals in day one competition at the Clemson Invitational. George Kitchens claimed the long jump. There were two NCAA provisional qualifiers from other schools on Friday.

George Kitchens (6.77) and Ron Richards (6.85) also qualified for Saturday’s finals. George Kitchens won the long jump with a mark of 24’2.25″. Brent Hobbs was eighth with a mark of 21’5.5″. In the weight throw, Danny Alge finished fifth with a throw of 56’3.75″.
