Tigers Keep on Rolling

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Tigers got second half goals from Wojtek Krakowiak and Scott Bower, as Clemson defeated Furman 2-0 in mens’ intercollegiate soccer action at Historic Riggs Field, Sunday October 25.

The win was the tenth straight for the Tigers, upping their overall record to 15-1. Furman falls to 13-3-2 for the season.

Krakowiak scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season at the 65:49 mark. John Wilson assisted Krakowiak, as he set a cross into the box where Krakowiak trapped, turned and shot from about eight yards out. Bower followed up Krakowiak’s goal with a score of his own with a little under 16 minutes to go in the game. Bower sent a ball to a trailing Mark Lisi who took a shot from about the 18 yard box. Furman goalie Ronnie Pascale blocked the shot but was unable to control it as Bower followed with the insurance goal, his sixth of the year.

The Tigers will be in action this Wednesday, October 28, when they will play host to Elon at Historic Riggs Field for their final regular season home game. Starting time is set for 7:00 p.m..
