Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers are 3-3 on the season, and 2-0 in ACC play, and are coming off a 5-2 victory over Wake Forest at home on Feb. 21. Clemson won the doubles point, and four players recorded singles victories (Ayan Broomfield at No. 1, Fernanda Navarro at No. 2, Joana Eidukonyte at No. 3 and Tristen Dewar at No. 5).
  • Two of Clemson’s three losses on the season came on the road to opponents ranked in the top three in the nation (at No. 2 Georgia on Jan. 30 in Athens, Ga. and at No. 4 Florida on Feb. 14 in Gainesville, Fla.)
  • Freshman Ayan Broomfield entered the ITA singles rankings for the first time in her collegiate career earlier this week. Broomfield is ranked 50th, after defeating ranked opponents from South Carolina and Wake Forest last weekend, while playing in the No. 1 singles spot for the Tigers for the first time this year.
  • Freshman Fernanda Navarro is ranked 93rd nationally, and is also coming off of two singles wins last weekend.

North Florida Notes:

  • North Florida is 4-2 on the season, and is coming off of a 5-1 victory over Troy on Feb. 21 in Jacksonville, Fla.
  • The Tigers and Ospreys have met just one time previously on the tennis courts, a 7-0 Clemson win on March 16, 2004 in Miami Gardens, Fla. In that contest, current Tiger seniors Tristen Dewar and Joana Eidukonyte, who were sophomores at the time, won matches at No. 4 and 6 singles, respectively.

NC State Notes:

  • NC State is 6-1 on the season, and is coming off a double-header sweep of Florida Gulf Coast and Elon on Feb. 20. Sunday’s contest at Clemson will be the Wolfpack’s first conference match of the season.
  • The Tigers have a 42-4 all-time advantage in the series against the Wolfpack, which began in 1976.
  • Clemson won last season’s meeting between the two teams by a score of 7-0 on March 29, 2015 in Raleigh. In that match, the Tigers won the doubles point, which included a win by Eidukonyte and Daniela Ruiz at No. 3. Eidukonyte, Dewar and Ruiz also contributed to the sweep in singles, winning at No. 1, 4 and 5, respectively.
