Tigers’ Hepburn Picked ACC Volleyball Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Clemson middle blocker Danielle Hepburn was announced today as the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, earning the league distinction for the third time this season.

Over the past week, Hepburn put up some of her best numbers of the year in two big matches against conference opponents Wake Forest and No. 14 Duke. Versus the Demon Deacons, the junior from Miami, Fla., posted 12 kills with only one error for a .440 hitting percentage with six total blocks. Against the Blue Devils, she slammed 24 kills and zero errors in 46 attempts as the Tigers defeated Duke for the second time this season. In the two matches, Hepburn averaged 5.14 kills per game with a .479 hitting percentage, 0.71 digs per game and 1.86 blocks per game, as Clemson pushed their overall record to 24-3 with two more ACC wins.

In the coming week, Hepburn and the Tigers will look to regain their place in the nation’s top 25 with matchups against league foes Miami and Florida State. Clemson will host the Hurricanes Thursday night at 7:00 p.m., and then will take on the Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
