Tigers’ Football Schedule Takes Shape

CLEMSON, SC — Starting times for Clemson’s first four games were announced Tuesday by athletic director Bobby Robinson. Clemson’s first two games this year, both at home, will not be televised.

Clemson opens the season September 5 against longtime rival Furman at Death Valley. Kickoff for that contest will be 1:00 PM. The September 12th game with Virginia Tech, a meeting of two of the 18 teams across the country who have been to a bowl game three years in succession, will also kickoff at 1:00 PM. Neither game will be on live television.

The Tigers first road game of the season, a September 19th meeting at Virginia, has a 3:30 PM kickoff and will be televised by ABC. The following week’s game against Wake Forest at Death Valley will start at 12:00 Noon and also will be televised by ABC.

The Thursday, November 12th contest with Georgia Tech will start at 8:00 PM and will be televised by ESPN. This will be Clemson’s first Thursday night home game in history.

The starting times for the other six games on the Clemson schedule will be announced 10 days prior to each game.
