Tigers Fall To #16 In Tuesday’s Fila/ITA Tennis Poll

CLEMSON, SC – The Tiger women’s tennis team fell seven spots to #16 in the latest Fila/ITA Tennis poll. Clemson posted a 2-1 record last week, which included an upset-loss to 34th-ranked Virginia Commonwealth at home. The Tigers won matches over Furman and Purdue.

The ranking marks the 24th consecutive poll that Clemson has been listed among the top-25. The Tigers were ranked in the top 25 in 40 straight polls from the middle of the 2003 through the beginning of the 2006 season.

The team will return to action on Thursday at the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Madison, WI. Clemson will face #7 California in the opening round of the tournament.
