Tigers End Tennessee Diving Invitational on High Note

CLEMSON, S.C. – A second-place finish on the platform by Freida Lim capped off three days of competition for the Clemson diving team at the Tennessee Diving Invitational. Lim posted the lone Zone qualifying score of the event for the Tigers, placing second out of 39 divers with a score of 245.60.

The competition began with the three-meter on Tuesday, and while no Tigers qualified for finals, four Clemson divers did finish in the top 25, led by Sarah Blank at 18th and followed up by Caylin Hirapara, Jaya Brown and Lim. Wednesday featured the one-meter, and Brown led Tiger divers with a 16th-place finish. Danielle Reitsma and Sarah Braun also finished in the top 25 in that event. In Thursday’s platform competition, Reitsma, Allison Brophy and Morgan Fiske joined Lim in the top 25 of the finals-only event.

The Tigers next see action on Jan. 14 in a dual meet with Georgia Southern before hosting their only home meet of the spring semester against Arkansas and Houston on Jan. 20 and 21.
