Tigers Conclude Fall Season

CLEMSON, S.C. — A third-place showing by Clemson’s novice 8+ highlighted Sunday action at the Rivanna Romp, just outside of Charlottesville, Va. The group of freshmen raced to a time of 14:49, the best individual finish by a Tiger boat in Clemson’s final regatta of the fall season.

Clemson’s B boat took the team’s top honor in the varsity 8+, finishing 10th overall out of 19 boats. The B team put together a time of 13:54.9, less than half a second ahead of Louisville’s B group. The Tigers’ A team placed 14th with a time of 14:03.1.

In the varsity 4+ competition, Clemson’s top boat was 11th out of 25 participants. The A boat was one of four Tiger boats competing in the race, and posted a time of 15:31.9, just ahead of Columbia’s A boat (15:32.0) and Clemson’s C team (15:32.5).

Clemson now breaks until the spring sprint season, which cranks up March 11-12 in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
