Tiger Women’s Tennis To Play Host To Kentucky On Saturday

CLEMSON, SC – The 18th-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team will play its only home match in the next six weeks this Saturday as the Kentucky Wildcats pay a visit to the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on Saturday. The Tigers (3-4) and #29 Kentucky (6-1) are scheduled to begin play at 11:00 am.

Clemson will play nine straight road matches following Saturday’s contest before returning home for date with Wake Forest on March 29.

Alexandra Luc won a pair of matches last weekend at the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships to improve to 10-4 on the year. Ani Mijacika boasts a 14-4 overall record, winning seven of her last 10 matches.

Clemson Versus Kentucky The Tigers trail the Wildcats, 7-3, in the series score and have fallen in the last six meetings. Most recently, Kentucky defeated Clemson, 4-0, in the second round of the 2006 NCAA regionals, held at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The Tigers’ last win over Kentucky was at the Indiana Invitational in 1986.

News
