Tiger Volleyball Defeats Florida Atlantic On Saturday Morning In Coastal Carolina Classic

CONWAY, SC – The Tiger volleyball team defeated Florida Atlantic 3-1 on Saturday morning at the Coastal Carolina Classic. Clemson captured the first game 30-28, but dropped game two by a score of 19-30. The Tigers won game three and four 30-26 and 30-24, respectively. With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-5 on the season, while the Owls drop to 1-7 overall.

Clemson was led by Lori Ashton with 16 kills and seven blocks (four solo), while Leslie Finn tallied 13 kills with a 12 digs. Liz Beckham added eight kills with 10 digs, and Ryane Beasley recorded 11 digs and four blocks (two solo). Lindsey Abbott had a match-best 13 digs, and Stephanie Haskell handed out 41 assists with eight digs and two blocks.

Janelle Sarauw paced the Owls with 20 kills and a .383 hitting percentage. Abby Miner recorded 18 kills, while Cayse Kaveny tallied nine kills with two blocks. Lindsey Bell tallied a match-best 18 digs, and Iana Andonova served up seven service aces with two blocks. Jeana Boyle had 48 assists with 13 digs and seven kills.

The Tigers will face Wofford at 2:00 p.m. in Kimbel Arena to conclude the tournament.
