Tiger Track & Field Athletes at Three Events This Weekend

The Clemson men’s track & field team is headed in three directions this weekend. Some performers are headed for Atlanta, GA, while others will be competing in the Western Invitational in Cullowhee, NC. Distance runner Itay Magidi will also be competing, as he is headed west to participate in the Stanford Invitational.

The sprinters, hurdlers, and distance runners will compete in the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Competing in the 1500m run for Clemson will be Sean Reilly. Roy Cheney will run the 110m hurdles, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay.

Rashad Gardner will also compete in the 110m hurdles, in addition to the 400m intermediate hurdles and 4x400m relay. Darrian Hodges will run the 800m and 4x400m, while Brian Knapp is in the 800m run and 4x400m relay. Isaac Mullins is entered in the 200m, 400m, and 4x400m. Lydell Perry will compete in the 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay, while Andy Porter is in the same events. Clay Pendleton.

The field event performers and multi-event athletes are in the Western Carolina Invitational this weekend. Getting that event underway on Friday for Clemson will be Jason Bell and Danny Alge will compete in the discus throw.

On Saturday at that meet, Alge will be in the hammer throw after 10:00 AM. At noon, a host of Tigers will compete in the pole vault. Included in that list are multi-event athletes Ryan Koontz, as well as Andrew Kessler, and Kenny Knox. At 1:50 PM, Feathers and Koontz will be joined in the 110m hurdles by indoor All-American Brent Hobbs. The 400m dash at 2:20 will feature Hobbs and Koontz of the Tigers.
