Tiger Rowing Ranked Second in Latest NCAA Regional Poll

April 15, 2005

The NCAA Division I women’s rowing committee released its latest regional poll earlier this week. Clemson rowing is ranked second in the South Region, ahead of the likes of Texas, Tennessee, UCF, and Louisville. ACC foe Virginia is the only team ranked ahead of Clemson in the region.

The Tigers competed last weekend in the Windermere Crew Classic against some of the top teams in the country. Clemson scored a huge win over Washington in the novice 8+ during that event.

Clemson will play host to the ACC Championships for the second consecutive year next weekend on Lake Hartwell. The event will now feature five schools, as new ACC addition Miami will add to an already competitive field. More information will be available on www.clemsontigers.com early next week concerning the championship.

South Region Poll (teams) 1. Virginia 2. Clemson 3. Tennessee 4. Texas 5. UCF 6. Louisville
