Tiger Baseball Recruiting Class Ranked #5 By Collegiate Baseball

Clemson, SC –

Clemson’s 19-player baseball recruiting class was ranked #5 in the nation by Collegiate Baseball on Tuesday. Vanderbilt was ranked #1, while UCLA, Arizona State, Louisiana State, and Clemson rounded out the top five. Head Coach Jack Leggett along with Assistant Coaches Dan Pepicelli and Bradley LeCroy (recruiting coordinator) recruited the class that was the ACC’s highest rated. All 19 Tigers are already on campus and have been going through fall workouts in preparation for the 2013 season-opener against William & Mary on February 15.

Eighteen of the 19 players are eligible for the 2013 season. The newcomers include three players who were selected in the 2012 Major League draft. Infielder Tyler Krieger (Johns Creek, GA) was a 35th-round draft pick of the Seattle Mariners, infielder/catcher Kevin Bradley (Pennington, NJ) was a 36th-round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies, and righthander/infielder Clate Schmidt (Acworth, GA) was a 36th-round draft pick of the Detroit Tigers.
