Stitt Undergoes Arthroscopic Surgery

Dec. 13, 2010

CLEMSON, SC - Clemson guard Demontez Stitt had arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday morning. The team’s orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Larry Bowman, performed the surgery. Stitt is expected to miss up to two weeks, Head Coach Brad Brownell announced on his call-in radio show Monday evening.

This is the second time in his career Stitt has had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. He missed games against Boston College and at Virginia in 2007-08, his freshman year, after arthroscopic surgery. Stitt is Clemson’s leading scorer this season at 13.8 points per game and is coming off an 18-point performance in the Tigers’ last game at Florida State.

Clemson’s next game is Friday, Dec. 17 at home against Savannah State (7:00 PM). The Tigers then play on Sunday, Dec. 19 against UNC Greensboro at 2 PM before traveling to Charleston, SC to take on the College of Charleston on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 7:00 PM.
