2021 Outdoor Season

  • Earned first-team All-America honors as a member of the Tigers’ 4x100m relay.
    • The team ran 38.94 to qualify for the final, and 38.96 during the final. These were the team’s two best times that season.
    • Sands ran the third leg of the relay in the semifinals and final.
  • Ran the third leg of the Tigers’ 4x100m relay at the NCAA Preliminary East Region meet (May 26-29). The team finished in sixth overall after running 39.15.
  • Earned second-team All-ACC honors by helping the 4x100m relay finish second overall in a time of 39.17.
  • Opened his outdoor season by racing the 200m at the Tiger Track Classic (March 19-20), finishing 8th after running 21.62.
  • Ran a season’s best for 200m at the Florida Relays (April 2-3), running a wind-legal time of 21.48.

2021 Indoor Season

  • Did not represent Clemson indoors after exhausting his indoor eligibility in 2020.

2019-20 Indoor Season Highlights

  • Contested the 200 meters at the ACC Indoor Championships (Feb. 27-29), finishing in 21.32 to finish sixth overall.
  • Set a season’s best in the 200m by running 21.27 at the Bob Pollock Invitational (Jan. 24-25).
  • Earned two, top-5 finishes during the season.
  • Was a part of Clemson’s 4x400m relay at the Bob Pollock Invitational.
  • Competed in six meets throughout the indoor season.

2018-19 Season Highlights

  • Was an NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier for the 4x100m.
  • Was an NCAA East Preliminary qualifier for the 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m.
  • Set a personal best in the 100 meters at the ACC Championships (May 9-11), running 10.53.
  • Earned second-team All-ACC honors in the men’s 200 meters at the ACC Indoor Championships (Feb. 21-23), running 21.51 to place fifth.
  • Was a part of five, top-5 finishes during the indoor campaign.
  • Competed in the 60m, 200m, 300m, and 4x400m throughout the indoor season.

2017-18 Season Highlights

  • Earned his first individual victory by winning the 200 meters in 21.26 at the Ted Nelson Invitational (Jan. 12).
  • Ran a season’s best time of 21.01 in the 200 meters at the Crimson Tide Invitational (Apr. 6-7).
  • Set a personal best in the 300 meters at the Clemson Orange & Purple Invitational (Jan. 6), running 33.99.
  • Earned 10, top-10 finishes during the indoor season.
  • Competed in eight indoor meets and five outdoor meets.

2016-17 Season Highlights

  • Earned second-team All-ACC in the indoor 200 meters.
  • Earned three, top-5 finishes throughout the outdoor season.
  • Set a 60m personal best with his time of 6.83 at the ACC Championships (Feb. 23-25).
  • Was a part of the program’s 4x400m relay on three occasions.
  • Was a member of the 4x100m relay six times throughout the year.
  • Eclipsed the 22-second mark in the 200 meters on five occasions indoors.
  • Made Clemson debut at the Clemson Orange & Purple Indoor (Jan. 7), running 21.74 in the 200 meters.
