Malou was selected by the Columbus Crew SC during the 2021 MLS SuperDraft (Jan. 21) with the No. 27 overall pick. Malou returned to the Tigers for the entirety of the 2021 season following the draft.

2021 Season (Graduate)

  • Tallied his first assist of the season against South Carolina off a goal from Mohamed Saye
  • Tallied his second assist of the season in the Sweet Sixteen matchup versus Kentucky off a game-winning goal from Alvaro Gomez
  • Converted on a successful penalty kick in the Round of 8 against No. 1 Oregon State
  • Converted on a successful final penalty kick in the Round of 4 against No. 4 Notre Dame, sending the Tigers to the College Cup Championship
  • Played all 90 minutes in the National Championship against No. 2 Washington

2020 Season (Senior)

  • Started all 11 matches during the fall campaign at center back.
    • Played a complete match across nine of the Tigers’ 11 games.
  • During the spring, Malou started at right-back in eight of the Tigers’ matches and at center-back against Louisville (April 9).
  • Contributed to each of the seven shutouts throughout the 2020-21 campaign.
  • Scored his first goal of the season via a toe-touch finish in the 45th minute against UAB (Oct. 5).
    • Captained his side against UAB.
  • Made his 50th collegiate start and 60th appearance in the Tigers’ match against Pittsburgh (Nov. 22).

2019 Season (Junior)

  • Started in 21 matches, while playing in all 22, during the season.
  • Contributed five assists throughout the year.

  • Earned 1,806 minutes of playing time throughout the season.
