On Tuesday, February 16, SOS traveled to Easley, SC to visit Dacusville Elementary School. The members of the squad were greeted by dedicated Clemson fans who had covered their classroom in orange and made pennants and Tiger Paws. Victoria Graham (rowing) and Laura Browning (swimming and diving) talked with 14 special education students about the T.I.G.E.R.! Traits of teamwork, integrity, gratitude, education and respect.
Members of SOS assisted with the International Festival hosted by Clemson Elementary School on February 19 and 20. On Friday, Deana Piper (swimming and diving) along with rowers Jess Gaul, Mairi Trimboli, Victoria Graham, Erin Grubbs, Marissa Henry, Jenna Zylstra, Meredith Razzolini, Brittany Cummings, Amber Coyne, Lydia Hassell, Michelle Nance and Connie Gorman helped set up for the festival. On Saturday, rowers Zsofia Bende, Mairi Trimboli, Kelly Murphy, Paige Griffith, Corey Geer, Bre Przestrzelski, Bea Saska, Erin Grubbs, Sarah Daanen, Caragh McMurty, Jenna Zylstra, Marissa Henry, Allison Colberg, Amber Coyne and Lydia Hassell helped facilitate activities, such as face painting, crafts and selling tickets.
