Seven Tigers Earn All-ACC Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. – Seven Tigers earned First, Second or Third-Team All-ACC honors, announced Monday by the ACC. The seven selections tied for second-most of any ACC team with Miami (Fla.) and only trailed Virginia (8).

Junior righthander Daniel Gossett was a First-Team All-ACC selection as a starting pitcher. Gossett, Clemson’s first First-Team All-ACC starting pitcher since D.J. Mitchell in 2008, has a 7-1 record, 1.74 ERA and .187 opponents’ batting average along with 94 strikeouts against 28 walks in 93.0 innings pitched over 13 starts. Gossett earned All-ACC honors for the second time, as he was a Second-Team All-ACC selection in 2013.

Junior Garrett Boulware (DH/UT), sophomore Tyler Krieger (SS) and senior Steve Wilkerson (2B) were named Second-Team All-ACC. Boulware is hitting .300 with 14 doubles, four homers and 34 RBIs. Krieger is hitting a team-high .340 with 15 doubles, two homers, 30 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. Wilkerson, who was named Second-Team All-ACC for the third time, is batting .316 with 18 doubles, one triple, five homers, 38 RBIs and eight steals.

Junior Jay Baum (OF), sophomore lefthander Matthew Crownover (SP) and sophomore Steven Duggar (OF) were named Third-Team All-ACC. Baum led the team with a .317 batting average in ACC regular-season games. Crownover is 7-5 with a 2.25 ERA, .241 opponents’ batting average and 74 strikeouts against only 18 walks in 88.0 innings pitched over 15 appearances (14 starts). Duggar is hitting .295 and leads the ACC with 25 steals.
