Seminoles Defeat Tigers 3-1

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Florida State Seminoles this evening in ACC action at Jervey Gym. The Tigers closed out their regular season schedule with tonight’s match. Clemson drops to 13-16 overall and 6-10 while Florida State improves to 21-10 overall and 9-7 in league play.

Jodi Steffes led the Tigers with 14 kills, eight digs and five block assists while Jessi Betcher dished out 40 assists with 12 digs. Meredith Kirtland tallied a team-high 16 digs and Anne Berki had a match-best seven blocks (one solo).

Florida State’s Erica Bunch led all hitters with 16 kills and 11 digs while Jennifer Werrick added 12 kills with a match-high 22 digs. Jennifer Anderson recorded 42 assists with 14 digs and Dawn Hough recorded six block assists. The Seminoles outhit the Tigers .199 to .106.

Clemson will travel to Winston-Salem, NC, Nov. 16-19 for the 2000 ACC Volleyball Tournament hosted by Wake Forest University.
