Salge Wins Opening Round Match At Riviera/ITA All-American

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA – Clemson women’s tennis player Carol Salge won her opening-round match in the qualifying bracket of the Riviera/ITA All-American on Tuesday. She defeated Paula Mesterova of Loyola Marymount, 7-6(3), 6-1, to advance to the second round where she will face Oklahoma’s Gaby Baker.

Sophomore Federica van Adrichem fell in the first round to Jenny Keuhn of Michigan by a 6-0, 6-3 decision.

Qualifying round action will continue on Wednesday at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.
