Reix wins first round at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Men’s Tennis Tournament

TULSA, OK–Clemson’s Clement Reix defeated Joseph Jung of Alabama 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 in the first round of Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Men’s Tennis Tournament in Tulsa, OK Thursday afternoon in the main draw.

Reix, a senior from Amiens, France is ranked 16th in the ITA. Last season he advanced to the final eight of the NCAA Tournament and earned All-America honors. Reix will play Chris Klingemann of Ohio State in the second round of the 64-player draw.

The doubles team of Reix and Jarmaine Jenkins will start play in the main draw doubles of the tournament Thursday evening. Reix and Jenkins will play Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel of Tennessee. Reix and Jenkins are ranked sixth in the preseason rankings.

Senior Ryan Young, from Charleston, SC, and freshman Carlos Alvarez, attained slots in the pre-qualifying draw but did not attend.
