Q&A With Marcus Edmond

Q. What sports did you play outside of football growing up?A. I played basketball, track & field and soccer.

Q. What is your favorite part about being at Clemson?A. The overall college experience from being both a student and an athlete.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?A. In my spare time, I like to relax, go out to eat and go to the movies.

Q. What kinds of music do you listen to?A. I like all types of music. If it sounds good to me, then I like it. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, R&B and pop music.

Q. Who are some influential figures in your life who inspire you?A. My parents, Allen and Arnett Edmond, are influential figures in my life. They always push me to do my best all the time.

Q. What are the occupations for your mother and father?A. My mother, Arnett, is the director of accounting for Richland School District I in Columbia, S.C. My father, Allen, is a design engineering specialist at Summer Nuclear Generating Station in Jenkinsville, S.C.

Q. Do you have any siblings and what do they do for a living?A. I have a sister, Ashley, who is 24 years old and is a recent graduate of USC Upstate. She is employed by Medical Services of America’s corporate office in Lexington, S.C., as a corporate documentation specialist.

Q. What kind of restaurants do you like eating at in Clemson?A. I like eating at restaurants that have Southern-style cooking, especially where I can get a meat and three sides.

Q. Which sports teams do you root for?A. I don’t have any teams that I specifically root for, but I have players who I like rooting for. In the NBA, I like Kevin Durant, and in the NFL, I grew up a Peyton Manning fan.

Q. What are your career plans after Clemson?A. I plan to get a job in my field of graphic communications. Each of the last two summers, I was an intern in the athletic communications department.
