CLEMSON, SC – The Rock Norman Track, site of the 2010 ACC Outdoor Championships, is currently undergoing significant renovations across different areas. The facility, which last played host to the conference meet in 1999, sports a resurfaced track, new entrance area, upgraded steeplechase jump, and improved fencing.

The 10-lane track and jump pits were resurfaced in the fall by Beynon Sports Surfaces. The company, based out of Hunt Valley, MD, implemented a 2000 Hobart state-of-the-art surface. Clemson is currently one of only two universities in the nation with this type of outdoor track surface. The unique quality of the Hobart system will allow student-athletes to train, while being able to obtain world-class records and speed.

The new entrance area is being completed in the existing space between the Clemson Indoor Track Complex and the Rock Norman Track. It features brick pillars and wrought iron fencing, and gives the facility an aesthetic feel. Also, exterior facility fencing and several trees alongside the fronstretch curve were replaced. The steeplechase water barrier has also been upgraded, complete with improved signage and a rubber hurdle surface.
