Oct. 30, 2000

KNOXVILLE, TN – The Clemson “B” boat led the Tiger Novice 8+ rowing team in the Head of the Tennessee held Saturday morning on the Tennessee River. Following a one-hour fog delay, the Clemson novice rowers competed in the women’s college novice 8+ race. Clemson “B” finished fourth overall with a time of 19:53.1 while Clemson “A” was sixth (20:05.7). Clemson’s “C” boat finished 12th in 20:55.

“This was a strong performance by all three novice 8+s in their first away regatta,” said head coach Susie Lueck. “We identified some areas we need to improve upon and look forward to next weekend’s race.”

The Tigers will compete at the Head of the Hootch on Lake Lanier (Gainesville, GA) on Nov. 4.
