No. 14 Clemson to Host 18 Teams in Clemson Invite This Weekend

CLEMSON, SC – The 14th-ranked Clemson women’s rowing team will host 18 teams in the Clemson Invite on Lake Hartwell on Saturday and Sunday. The field includes seven teams currently ranked in the CRCA top 20.

“We are looking forward to hosting 18 other teams here in Clemson this weekend,” said Clemson Head Coach Robbie Tenenbaum. “There will be some great racing on Lake Hartwell.”

Racing will begin on Saturday morning at 8:53 AM and will continue until 10:45 AM. Teams will then return to the water on Saturday afternoon beginning at 4:40 PM before concluding racing for the day with the final race at 6:32 PM.

The event will conclude on Sunday with racing beginning at 8:53 AM and ending with the last race at 10:38 AM.

The field of 18 teams includes No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 UCLA, No. 13 Michigan, No. 18 Louisville, No. 19 Cornell and No. 20 Duke.

“We have had a fantastic week of practice after some hard racing this past weekend in Boston,” said coach Tenenbaum. “Our entire team is looking forward to three races against some fantastic top-20 opponents.”

The remaining teams are Central Florida, Indiana, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Penn, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Texas.

For those attending the event, parking at the boathouse will be unavailable this weekend. Spectators are asked to park in Jervey Meadows (behind Doug Kingsmore Stadium).

The event will also be available on TigerCast on ClemsonTigers.com and results will be updated through out each session.
