Six ACC teams are among the Final 16, who all won a pair of matches during ITA Kickoff Weekend. Clemson took down No. 61 Dartmouth before besting No. 18 Vanderbilt, 4-2, to advance to the third round on Jan. 29 and 30, respectively.

UCLA defeated San Diego and Sacramento State in order to advance. The Bruins have two losses, but they came at the hands of No. 1 Stanford on Feb. 5 and No. 8 California on Feb. 4. The Bruins are tied for the national lead with six singles players earning national rankings, led by No. 58 Andrea Remynse.

Clemson is 2-6 all-time against UCLA, but the teams have not met since 2008 in the same event. The only matchup of the two teams during this season came when Keri Wong defeated Courtney Dolehide in three sets during the fall season at the ITA All-American Championships in Los Angeles.

Wong moved up to no. 37 nationally in the most recent rankings, the best mark of her career. She is 13-5 this season overall, and 8-2 in the spring. Josipa Bek dropped two spots to no. 14 in the nation, but she has won ten in a row, including a three-set win over defending NCAA Champion Chelsey Gullickson of Georgia in her most recent match.

Wong and Bek are ranked No. 2 in the nation in doubles, and the pair are 18-5 in 2010-11 together.
