Moton Sets Personal Best And School Record At Tyson Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, AR – The Clemson women’s track and field team competed at the Tyson Invitational held at the University of Arkansas this weekend. Senior Jamine Moton led the Lady Tigers as she continued her record-breaking season with a personal-best mark of 56’7.5″ in the shot put. Her throw automatically qualifies her for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Moton also posted a provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw (61’11”).

Silja Ulfarsdottir led the Lady Tigers in the 200m with an eighth-place finish in 24.43. Randi Hinton finished ninth in the 200m with a time of 24.90. Ulfarsdottir also recorded a third-place finish in the 400m (54.76) and Randi Hinton was 12th in that event (57.11). Perry Fields posted another third-place finish for the Lady Tigers in the one mile run with a time of 4:54.15.

Gisele Oliveira was 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 40’4.25″.

The Lady Tiger track and field team will return to action Feb. 8-9 at the Virginia Tech Challenge in Blacksburg, VA.
